Are we in a hold pattern? What is wrong? Seems like lambs before slaughter, all standing back and watching what the others will do and wich way the market will go before making a stance?!! You call it being careful, but is there anything out there that would alert us to a potential over valuation, besides the spectacular gains of July and the profits we racked in this last six weeks making us feel like we "stole someone else's money", so that we tremble before each and every "otherwise insignificant" economic indicator and preparing for the big panic selling? Isn't this a self-induced state of mind of , waiting for the "big boys" of the funds to decide for us what the outlook for the near future will be? What is the parallel with Oct 1987? The fundamentals are vastly different...we have an economy that is moving on its own very comfortably, and policing up its own failures and renegades. You know that the Fed's intervention will not rescue a fundamentaly weak economy on it's way down, only mitigate the effect of the decline. So where is the Fed now? I do not see anything fundamentaly wrong and except minor hick-ups, INVEST!!!
