Like Powerline said, the LA Times is less outraged that CBS tried to perpetrate a fraud, than the fact that it failed to help the Kerry campaign, as it intended. And accusations of "this episode as an egregious case of liberal media bias" are equivalent to the notion that "Karl Rove, who is responsible for everything bad that happens everywhere, must be behind the documents."?
And Kerry's "impressive" Vietnam record has been under "savage attack", while "CBS' real error was trying to prove a point [about Bush's NG service] that didn't really need to be proved," since of course we know the allegations are true! Yeah, Bush, giving smirky speeches, winning over military people.....how dare he!
