The reason was that Hodgkin was posting here, and since this was a non-moderated thread she couldn't ban him so she decided to take her ball and go home.

Except that the ball wasn't hers to take. She left it lying around and some kids found it and started playing with it.

But she still thinks of it as her ball, and resents anybody playing with it even when she doesn't want to.
