Why cant we talk about iraq re: its component parts. The insurgency exists in the triangle. Shiaa areas are largely unaffected as are the kurds. Border sites such as bagdad (shia or triangle) and kirkuk(kurd or sunni) will be whats really up for grabs if and when the elections appear hopeless to all. US vs Triangle seem like it will end up being like Israel in Lebanon. So build a wall around the triangle--not a wall like the israelis did but a wall constituted of two new states and confine the madness to the tribal sunni triangle region. Mike
