The sunnis, if left to their limited resources of the region, would likely be over run. It is more likely that hordes of sunni muhajideen would flood into the region when the US pulled out. They look at Palestine like we remember the Alamo and this would be yet another battle cry for the Caliphate, one that does not have a superpower like Israel to contend with.
