Well, I know alot of outsourcing is going on. It would not surprise me in the least if IBM, Cisco, and all the other blue chips are hiring en masse in India. These are jobs that used to go to Americans. Very sad, but I guess we're too expensive and too undereducated now to compete with the Indians. Anyway, the next big thing is biotech and healthcare. The baby boomers are going to be sucking up alot of resources (me too, if I can manage to retire as planned in the next 5-10 years). In addition, they will be spending alot of money on healthcare and life enhancing and prolonging drugs. So bets in biotech and healthcare will be good for the next 10-20 years. JMHO.
