You got one gift right. The thing about the names.

But he has other gifts - a few of them:

A thick skin. Kerry reacts without outrage to criticism. Bush has received far worse than Kerry for far longer and he shrugs it off.

Bush can joke about his own weaknesses, like his verbal clumsiness. Kerry isn't even secure enough to admit he falls down on a ski slope.

He can make tough decisions after getting all the relevant info and then move on to the next topic. Kerry is forever reviewing his decisions and positions and nuancing and even reversing them.

A faith in God has a bearing on the above, I think. He is able to put problems in God's hands and go on.
