Well, that's unfortunate. I think the Republicans have done a great job of painting Kerry as someone who doesn't have a plan, but that simply is not the case. I'm a die hard Republican, but even I can see that the path we are taking now will lead to world war and bankrupt this country.

I am torn, though, because I see the clear support for terrorism that Syria and Iran engage in and I know that Kerry won't do anything about them, whereas, Bush is crazy enough to go after them militarily. So sometimes, I think to myself, we need another 4 years of Bush to intimidate the hardcases, then we can bring in the diplomacy to resettle the region in a new way.

It's almost like the Middle East was so incredibly broken that we needed someone like Bush to shakeup the status quo. Then we need someone like Kerry to come in on the tail end and clean it up in a way that is good for the U.S. long term. One thing I know for sure, though. The U.S. simply couldn't sit on the sidelines and let the M.E. continue on as it has for the last 50 years. Something drastic needed to be done to break the old pattern. That much Bush has already accomplished.
