I happen not to read the New York Times nor do I have or want any access to what the stupid and evil CIA is saying. Some time back I heard from Chinese people with mainland contacts that there is friction between Hu and Jiang. The fact that they told me this doesn't make it true. Sitting here in Canada I can't possibly know what's true about that report. You on the other hand cite the statement from comrade Wang as proof positive that it isn't so. Maybe you are young as well as naive. Perhaps you are 26. When I was 26 I also believed everything that the Chinese communist party said. I've lived long enough to find out, sadly, that in fact they sometimes lie. Therefore your citation of Wang's statement doesn't really prove anything. No doubt it's a fact that he said what he said. Whether he was telling the truth or not, well the Chinese history books of 2050 will probably inform us. I doubt that you have a reliable pipe line to Chung Nan Hai. This thread is about protecting our finances in a time of extraordinary threats. Unconditional trust, as you have, can easily lead to personal financial disaster. So:
Down with religion, i.e. unconditional trust.
Long live the scientific method!
Let's happily watch the Chinese people work their way to
the end of poverty.
