Re: Taiwan -- I am not aware of any country that disputes that Taiwan is part of China -- the US does not dispute this and even Taiwan does not dispute that it is part of China. I know there are some in the US who sleep better at night in the belief that Taiwan is not part of China because they have strong ideological biases -- sweet dreams -- but it is. There are a variety of reasons why Taiwan is part of China and always will be, but one stands out above all else -- under no circumstances would China ever accept it to be otherwise. We would not have diplomatic and trade relations with China if we did not recognize "one China".
