I agree we won the war. But, the question is "knowing what we know now, did we have to go to war and/or did we have a better way to achieve our objectives?".

I don't have a problem with Bush making a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes. That is how we learn and become better people.

I am willing to bet that Bush could win re-election more easily by saying we made a mistake in going to war. I listened to the wrong people. I will not make the same mistake again

Anybody who has already decided on Bush will not change their minds. But IMO he would pick up a lot of the undecided.

I am also willing to bet that Karl Rove will not allow him to say that he made a mistake.
