He has dropped the rhetoric about winning a war on terrorism, which was a good move. He would be smart to back away from any intention to win a war against insurgencies. I view them as little wild fires all over Iraq waiting to erupt into forest fires. If they can be contained long enough they can be turned into little camp fires to warm their respective groups. These will turn into political entities that can be represented by the new National Govt. when it is fully operational... well, I can hope can't I?
