The problem in Iraq is an exit strategy. Almost by definition, those we train to defend their country from civil war and anarchy will be seen as dupes of Hated America. We've left them little or no moral high ground. Without our presence, they will collapse like a house of cards.

I'm starting to think that a civil war is inevitable. Tragic, but possibly true. If so, let's get it going and over with as soon as possible, so that the Iraqis can get on with the business of governing themselves again...
