I agree and thats why current Taiwan govt is a potential danger. Having said that i would remind you that Taiwan was overrun by KMT Nationalists fleeing china in 1947?? and there has alway been a feeling among native taiwanese that taiwan should be independent of both chinese governments, not to mention the japanese. Things are never quite as simple as we would like them to be. mike
