It seems like the Republican National Convention 9/11 bounce isn't nearly as pronounced on the West Coast. I'm noticing a divergence in the polling differences between northeastern states and western states. There's hardly a bounce for Bush out west, in the northeast the bounce is suprisingly strong for Bush.

What to conclude? 9/11 affected people in the northeast a lot more than people out West. I was in Hawaii shortly after 9/11 and hardly anyone cared about it out there. It's not that they didn't care, but they were so detached from it. It really affected people in the northeast. Although I do think 9/11 is being used as a cheap political ploy by Bush. He'd hardly have anything to campaign on if it wasn't for 9/11.
