The Pew poll shows that Bush's convention bounce has evaporated. The terrorists are going to influence the polls here just like they did in Spain. But they will do so in a different way. The terrorists would like to call Bush's bluff that he is winnning the war on terrorism by attacking the US troops in Iraq who are sitting ducks, IMO.

Even Sen. Chuck Hagel (R) agrees that the situation in Iraq is getting worse
