Vietnam is a really poor comparison to our engagement in the Middle East... it is better served to compare to the Palestinian Conflict, Israel/Arafat/Islamic terrorism.... For the two of you, in case you've forgotten already, the the World Trade Center Towers actually did happen... It was thought out, implemented and carried out by disillusioned,radical, Islamic zealots from the Middle East... although they are all dead, 10s of thousands of their followers remain... the entire ME street has been betrayed by their own self serving rulers using Islam and the power hungry clerics to achieve their(the rulers) goals. It is their intention that we, the citizens of the USA and selected other countries, become the victims of their frustrations and bitter resentment of a better standard of living... Our present day presence in the ME is only the beginning... we have to see to it that future generations of little Arab boys and girls receive proper educations and grow up to be doctors, scholars, teachers, and everyday workers with real jobs, productive goal oriented jobs.... not suicide bombers or radical terrorists hell bent on becoming a martyr on a poster..... unfortunately this is only the beginning.....there is no turning around.... it is truly a culture clash of the first order that will effect the global economy and the lives and standards of living for all free peoples around the Planet..... it is "their way" or it is "our way".... which way do the two of you prefer...? regards
