Kerry is the strongest finisher in recent US political history. He came from 30% down to beat Dean and Weld in his last two big elections. He is so strong the GOP didn't even run a candidate against him in the last election. Being a combat fighter type, he really doesn't get going until he is in danger. Danger kickstarts him big-time. You can see that in every election, plus in his love of extreme sports and aerobatics. Also why he wasn't afraid to volunteer for combat while Bush and all the other chickenhawk rightwingers fled and hid.
