I think your point is very interesting but I don't really understand why cellphones are any different than landlines.

I've heard that the original RNC Post Convention polls had lots of no-answers due to the holiday. I guess fewer Repulicans went on holiday (probably due to LACK OF JOBS) than Dems.

Right after the Dem Convention in 2000, Newsweek polled and basically declared Gore unstoppable (ok, it was a question but the implication was the same). Polls Schmolls this year.

Major media has been lying to us. Major polls probably are at least as confused and some may even be corrupt.
