I didn't know anything about Kerry, except name-recognition, before the Democratic primaries. I followed it but not "real" closely. i was impressed, though. I don't see why people say "he was only picked because he could beat Bush, but people don't like him". lol. what is with that? If he can beat Bush there is something to like. maybe not on a 'have a drink' kind of way, but why should we care? and, hey, i've always wanted to windsurf. i'd be up for an invitation. anyway.... he showed a mettle in those debates. and energy, desire, and drive in his campaign. He showed reasons why he wanted to be, and should be, our President. but there were no characters like Bush, or his breathren, in the Democratic primary. I think he has caught up to just what they are, and he is the person for the job of taking him on.
