Amy J, It seems that you and steve are determined to argue terminology, not substance. There are miscarriages, where the fetus dies of natural causes, and there are abortions where a viable fetus is killed / aborted. In a very few cases, health of the mother may be at risk, but majority of cases are elective. I don't think there is any disagreement about miscarriages. Joe
