<<<Can we bring these criminals to justice?>>>

The odds seem long at this late date. The American legal system has largely replaced the practice of justice with the practice of law. The Constitution has been gutted. The highest law of the land is no longer enforceable, as those responsible for enforcing justice are the same persons subverting the process to meet their own personal agendas.

In most ways, it's our own fault. The Constitution and Bill of Rights isn't a concept enforceable by anyone other than the people. The Constitution is the antithesis of government. It is no mystery why those in government resent it. The sole purpose of the Bill of Rights was to put a road block in the path of tyrants. In the absence of a proactive participation of the people in governing their own affairs, tyranny will always move in to fill the void.

Our Forefathers knew this. Their experience with tyrants was first hand and tempered in blood. Even so, their own rationalizations, prejudices and thirsts for power left the door open to lose the liberty they had won through force of arms. White male Christians enjoyed a certain degree of freedom, but this was the only cross section of the population to do so. Having achieved their privileged positions, they lacked the sense of justice to extend it to all members of society. They couldn't bear the thought of the people electing their own President by popular vote, nor could they bear the thought of the people removing that person from office through a vote of no confidence. In addition, those trusted with the responsibility to defend and enforce justice were not elected by the people, but appointed on a partisan basis.

The so called "Revolution" of the late 60s may have put a small kink along the road to tyranny, but the level of oppression today is orders of magnitude worse than it was 35 years ago. On hind sight, the disarming of America and subsequent destruction of civil rights is almost certainly the response of government to repress a reoccurrence of similar uprisings of the people.

So, I suppose the real question should be, "Why did the 'Revolution' fail so completely three decades ago?". IMO, it's because while the body formed a critical mass, it never evolved to a point of having a head or mind to direct it. Had it done so, it's nearly certain a third political party would have emerged, with the ability challenge the status quo.

The simple fact of the matter is we are at war, which for all practical purposes we have already lost, or perhaps surrendered is a better choice of words. Our enemy may strike us dead, at any time, for any reason, and we have no recourse. We have no leaders, we have no funding, we have no counsel, we have no members who bear arms, we have no lobbyists, we have no access to the press, and we have no representatives. We have no power, authority or organization to pursue justice in any way, shape or form.

Perhaps your question was rhetorical. If so, pardon the response. It's fairly obvious that unless a great deal of change takes place, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of finding justice.
