You seem to be confusing proportional space and kerning. The definitions for kerning use YA, WA and others for a reason. Note how on this board the lower part of the 'A' is under the top part of the 'Y'.

Again, ANY two characters can be tightly kerned. It is a fact that TNR as implemented by Word are not tightly kerned. And you are correct that kerning can be +/-. But "th" can be kerned just as "YA" can be; it is not particularly common.

The only reason for being pedantic on the issue is that all of the 'experts' who claim the documents were forged based on the physical evidence make nitwit statements like that.

I am just pointing out that the physical evidence doesn't support them being forgeries, despite the cutesy animations and so-called "experts".

If you want to argue that these documents are real, take it up with this guy. I think you'll agree his credentials, as well as his rationale, are impeccable.
