I've been reading this board for a while now. The title of it speaks for itself thereby I really wonder why certain contributors don't appear to get it.
There's a longshort, jallen, and Burma something or other posting, who seem to think that they've joined a Pro-Bush board. Psychologically it makes me wonder what it is they're hoping to achieve. Obviously they can read, so they do know what the purpose of the board. Is it possible that they think that by hurling insults they will change the minds and hearts of those who have some real issues with the current President. Of the three, Burma seems to be the most balanced and intelligent of the Bush supporters. Still he has posted nothing to convince me to, again, vote for Bush.
Allow me to get emotional on this issue. I campaigned for Reagen, and there's not much to convince me that I supported the wrong man. But this President, he who stood on the grounds on 9/ll and had the whole country behind him, and used that to manipulate and betray, made me ashamed of having voted for him.
Afghanistan, which most of us supported, was left half-finished, to go to Iraq on the pretext that Sadam posed immanent danger. Clear and simple, Bush lied. If not, then he simply didn't know the definition of the word. Makes me wonder why his unflinching supporters don't seem to mind being lied to on an issue where lives are at stake. Yes, it's true, Clinton lied but sex does not usually cause lives to be lost. If one wants to equate the two then I ask which was most grevious of the two.
I have a favorite quote: "Contempt prior to investigation is guranteed to keep one in ignorance forever." So please share your investigation, that induced you to spew that those on this board need your input to understand that they have it all wrong about Bush. In the least, show me how I can be less ashamed of voting for him in 2000. |
