I don't mean that each scripture can or should mean something different to each person. What I'm trying to express is this: the scriptures are opened up unto us as the Holy Spirit leads to the understanding of them. Like I said in an earlier post, I've seen ministers express, using scriptures, things I would have never imagined, yet, once explained seem quite plausible. But again, it is of utmost importantance that one seek guidance from the Holy Spirit first and foremost. If we are still not in agreement, then so be it. I, alone, will have to answer to God for what I have spoken to others, and perhaps, although unaware at the current time, incorrectly.

Yes, I attend the Seventh Day Adventist church. There is no scriptural evidence God ever changed the Sabbath, period. If you believe otherwise than show it to me. However, I have found while attending the church, the Adventist teachings seem to be hung up on the Sabbath sort of speak. Too many things revolve around the Sabbath. The Sabbath isn't what brings and keeps us in God's favor. Jesus Christ does it through the leading and living within us of His Holy Spirit. We are to serve God in Spirit, even as He is Spirit.

Another story of true faith....

Lough Fook, a Chinese Christian, was moved with compassion for those of his compatriots who had become slaves in African mines. He wanted to give them the hope of the gospel, but how could he have access to them? His solution was to sell himself for a term of five years as a slave. He was transported to Demerara, where he toiled in the mines and told his fellow workers about Jesus.

Lough Fook died, but not until 200 people were liberated from hopelessness by accepting Jesus as their Savior.

I've been watching recently, with much interest, some programing on Daystar, late at night-early in the morning, the idea of pragmatism in the church, and the destructiveness of it. This morning (2:30 - 3:30 a.m.) they had a program on (part 1) "An Authenic Christian" supported solely upon scriptural description. For those who aren't working second shift like I do, go to www.crosstv.com. Very, very convicting in light of our times and thinking.

One of these days I'm going to make ya'all suffer through the story of how my life took a 180 degree turn in five seconds a year ago last July.
