I think Kerry is doing the right thing by focusing primarily on Iraq for the rest of the election.

I think people realize there's only so much a president can do about the economy and employment. The economy is going to be weak the next few years regardless of who gets elected.

What a president can do is avoid destroying thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars on ill-advised, immoral and unnecessary wars. That is one area where Kerry can honestly say that he will absolutely do a better job than if Bush is re-elected.

It could be that there are enough malicious, small-minded Americans out there to re-elect Bush despite his Iraq blunder, if so then America will end up with the government it deserves.
