Alan - apart from those who embrace what I believe about
the fulfilling of all of prophecy in the days of vengeance
when the Temple was destroyed etc...

You alone have stated that you both understand and respect it.

I wonder if you truly understand it as I would tend to think
you would then embrace it - but I am surprised that you show
forth such a spirit of tolerance.

Perhaps - since you do not believe you can damn me to hell forever
you can take no other position - forgive my twisted humour.

What I want to say is thank you for at least listening to my view
with some kind of open ear and heart - something I find rare.

I looked for other Preterists - I asked a man who had a mailing
list from a book store that sold preterit materials.

He gave me the address of only a few in Western Canada.

I phone one of them - the man was very old.

I asked him how long he was a preterist and he said for over 40 years.

I asked him how he heard about it and he said he arrived at
the conclusions through study alone and never even knew
another until just recently.

I asked him how many others he had convinced of preterism over
the 40 years if beleiving such - his answer:

    NOT A SINGLE SOUL


In my efforts to get men to re-examine what they believe
I have generally had about as much success.

Most shy away because of the "implications" to their "church life"

Most men will not even suffer to understand the view or review
scriptures with me - they just turn a deaf ear very very early.

Most attack me as their duty to defend the truths of futurism
and are impossible to even reason with.

The fact that you have taken time to listen is so many miles
beyond the spirit I find in most men who profess to desire to know truth
that it is far from funny.

I want you to know that while I think you views of the ages have
been handed to you and that they are completely suited to a view
the seeks a specific end - that being that they avoid damnation of men's souls,
yet I have found you to be sincere and to a large degree far more
reasonable than most men.

I want to thank you for that.

I do not think you will go to hell for your heresy.

I believe that your faith in Christ will deliver your miserable soul.

I consider you my brother in Christ if no one else will.
