<Bush's message on economy takes beating
Weak job growth, high oil prices, slumping stocks seen aiding Kerry>

LOL.

Both President Bush and Senator Kerry are promising to "halve" the current budget deficit over the next four years. Both are, at the same time, promising more tax cuts and more government spending. Senator Kerry has a "health plan". President Bush is promising to "speed the spread of 'freedom'". Both candidates have, of course, promised NOT to cut either social security or medical "benefits". There is no hint from either of the contending parties of the REAL fiscal, financial and economic issues facing the US - and therefore the world. By the nature of the "platforms" (even though the Presidential candidates are not bound by these platforms) served up by the two parties, there cannot be. Any hint of the REAL issues would quickly illustrate the stark fact that neither candidate has any plan, desire, or intention to confront them.
