Why was 'evidence' of the Rather memo's 'found' only four hours after the story broke? For the same reason that, after a terrorist strike, we suddenly 'find' suspected terrorist houses to bomb. And how when a story is pummeling Bush, Ridge 'finds' evidence of a threat that merits a terrorist alert.

And why are some things so hard to find, like Bush's missing Guard records? Who outed Valerie Plame? WMDs? WMD programs? A link between Al Qaeda and Saddam?

As with many things today, ask Karl Rove.
