It will be interesting to see if the share price of Abgenix goes up today supported by the good news for the sector or if it falls

I'd think that other stuff is of far more significance to the ABGX price (at least in the next 12 months).
The MEDX deal has got to be very annoying for them, but on the other hand it does show (as you note) that Pfizer are serious about the CTLA-4 mAb.

(Stock virtually unchanged so far, premarket ).
