>> I found it rather strange that Embrie included some private stuff about him, but that is beside the point.
I think that the fact that he is Canadian makes him sensitive to the possibility that he may be dismissed in a knee-jerk reaction by Americans as some sort of "liberal" predisposed to believing in wrong-doing or manipulation by agencies of the US government. Certainly, many Americans tolerate no criticism of any things "American" by any individuals who are not American. Even American Libertarians, the ultimate upholders of belief in economic freedom, liberty, and the true principles of the American constitution, have difficulty not being gagged and shut out of media discourse due to not going along with American media group-think.
There was a radio interview on Financial Sense Online (http://www.financialsense.com/Experts/roundtable/091804.html) this weekend where Embry mentioned, along with James Turk and Bill Murphy, how there has been almost complete media silence to his report on gold manipulation. Bill Murphy has discredited himself by going too far in some rants and predictions, and I assume that is why he was not mentioned in the Embry report. James Turk obviously has an interest in promoting gold, given his GoldMoney business(http://goldmoney.com/en/index.php), so he is vulnerable to dismissal. If Embry is dismissed because he is Canadian, it does not leave anyone to carry the torch. Of the three, I think that James Turk is the most intelligent and articulate, so I hope that he will get more press in the future. |
