Then there are some clues for you. What makes you think that notebooks are the only applications for low-power but well performing x86 processors? If you are not familiar with some of initiatives from the company you pump so much, here it is, for example: amd.com "In late 2003, Weber unveiled his vision for “x86 Everywhere,” highlighting the extensive benefits to be gained from the migration of low-power x86-based microprocessors into a myriad of new products and form factors, including PDAs, mobile phones, TVs, set-top boxes, and storage peripherals." - end of quote. "Why don't you propose that your "management" sign the appropriate NDAs with AMD to have access to non-public information?" Why don't you give a call to your management and tell them that their competition makes reference designs freely avaliable for general public, but AMD "generally" doesn't.
