Ghengis Kerry Declares War

9/20/04

In today's speech, Kerry sounded as if he'd lost his mind. Half his base stood, open-mouthed, as Ghengis Kerry declared war! and insisted that the US demand its allies help in winning the war in Iraq. This would involve "getting the UN's approval for the war" and ""crushing terrorism" (presumably with Nerf bats and Super Soakers) and "asking for volunteers from other countries to come here and train the US Armed Forces on how to fight" (at this moment he lost the entire US military vote). I had a true "Twilight Zone" Moment and half expected Rod Serling to step out from behind my car's dashboard, cigarette in hand, to declare that I had just entered a parallel reality...

Kerry's "new" campaign staff has made him sound as if he's gone insane. After his having spent the previous year condemning the war as a "lie" and "unauthorized" and "Bush's Vietnam" and demanding that the US flee Iraq, today he became a different person under new management. Same pedantic, hectoring tone of voice, but this time set to martial music. I could almost see that rotten index finger of his, jabbing and scolding as he talked.

This, heaped upon the soon to be revealed connection with the forged Burkett documents and his supporters find themselves staring, dumbfounded, at their candidate who's revealed to be nuts.
