Osama is considered the oracle of the Arab world. Years ago, when he said that the US will gobble up country after country in the Arab world, most reasonable people in the ME didn't believe him. Some even called him a nut.

Now that we have invaded (and got stuck in) Iraq and we are making noises about Iran, those in the ME who called Osama a nut, have egg on their faces. Osama's stock is high out there. Dead or alive, he commands a following like never before.
