Hello Tim, I stopped by SI to see if anyone started a chat out here. Good going. I attended the open house on the 10th along with about another dozen investors in FRCP. Impressed is an understatement. FRCP is adding two assembly lines per month to the existing 8 lines. They can turn 2 vehicles per month per line with whichever vehicle they choose to build. The Buffalo is not done justice by it's photos. Standing next to one puts it in perspective.
Some information not readily available to those that couldn't attend or those that tended to stick with the presentation by management and the representivives is what I will present. I spent some time talking to a CBS camera man. He was given a one day notice to attend the open house. He expects a special to be run sometime in Nov. if not earlier. After today, CBS could use it. :-)
Aslo I talked with a marine from design and development that had recently returned from Iraq. They want these Cougars bad. They and only they work against landmines. His point being: If a firefight at point "A" and another at point "B" they need to be able to move from one to another fast and survive arms fire and mines. I think Blackhawk down is a good example. Both the Buffalos and Cougars are capable of 75 mph. There were about 24 Peterbuilt trucks in the warehouse for conversion. They use the engines and drivetrains as the basic structure then weld the iron around. A little more complicated, but that's it in a nutshell. Watts and crew are impressive and I believe have built a good strategy. Got to go for now. Wife home with groceries. Sorry for typos, no time to check. Larry
