The rest of the dollar goes to the local service provider and the "tail" fibre international call carrier. Okay, halve those expected share prices! The first constellation should make GSTRF worth only $200 to $300 and the second should make it worth $500 to $600. Okay, that is still quite good compared with the current $40 per share. I guess nobody noticed yet! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Dennis, Iridium is TDMA [time division multiple access] only. The handsets that people use will be dual mode. In the USA, when people can't use the Iridium system because they are doing a billion dollar deal indoors, their phone will automatically use the local cellular provider which will in many cases be CDMA. Some areas will have GSM or TDMA available. In Europe, at present, it will be all GSM. Your question wasn't totally clear to me. GSM is always TDMA. It is a version of TDMA. In the USA there is also the USA version of TDMA. GSM was established as a European TDMA standard. There are going to be a lot of dual mode phones for some time because service is not universally available. These phones can use either of two systems, depending on what's available in that area. Mqurice PS: Downtown India doesn't even have a wired phone let alone cellular. Iridium is NOT global if you are in a building! Neither is Globalstar if in a building! In building service is more important than Scott Base
