If anybody wants to undermine Bush, it's Sullivan, not Novak. I don't foresee Sullivan regaining credibility in his lifetime, if then. I put him in the David Brock category, someone for whom his sexuality is the only issue. Sort of like "feminists" for whom abortion is the only issue. Not that there aren't "fundamentalists" for whom anti-abortion is the only issue, but that's another story.

Iraq has problems. There's no getting around that.

Kerry's reaction to the problems in Iraq is gutless. There's no getting around that, either.

Bush has yet to redeem himself totally on this issue. His father screwed up Iraq completely. Clinton did, too.

I haven't given up on Bush but my hopes are guarded.
