Kerryspot - BUSH UP BY 11 IN OHIO?

Remember when Ohio looked bad for President Bush? When Republican strategists were really worried that job losses were going to put one of the red states in the blue pile, and thought W would have to win some pretty big blue states to make up the difference?

Well, the University of Cincinnati poll "shows that 54 percent of Ohio's likely voters support Bush, 43 percent support Kerry and 2 percent support Independent candidate Ralph Nader. One percent is undecided.

Kerry led in a "dead heat" race by 2 percentage points in a poll conducted after the Democratic National Convention. This was the first poll taken since the Republican National Convention.

The poll had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points."

Now - maybe Bush's lead isn't as high as 11 points. But all of the recent polls have Bush up, anywhere from 3 to 8 percentage points. Not where Kerry wants to be. And if this keeps up, should Ohio really be on the list of swing states?
