That fact that Bush was AWOL from vietnam is old news. The real news is how he is AWOL from the war on terror. Once again having fallen in with a bad crowd Bush shirked his responsiblity to capture Bin Laden and avenge the 9/11 attack. Instead he unwisely transfered his army to a quagmire. boston.com <font color=blue>Bush and Cheney are acting as though they believe that statecraft is no different from campaigning -- that in both spheres it is possible to deny reality and pay no penalty.
