I posted maybe a week ago, maybe more, that Burkett, the likely source of the memos, was a very litigious person who mentioned having dealt with over 100 lawyers personally. Outside of a very few occupations (title examiner, patent examiner, process server, court employee, cop) normal human beings don't have professional dealings with 100 lawyers over the course of a lifetime.

No, this is one of those dreaded fellows with the boxes and boxes of paperwork. He knows enough about the process to make your life hell, but doesn't have the insight or the judgment to press a good case unless by accident.

Reminds me of Judicial Watch.

But yes, they can use the subpoena power of the court to winkle out much information otherwise impossible to get at.
