Well, nuclear energy sure is part of the equation, but we also need alternative fuels for cars. Hydrogen and electricity are good ideas here. THey just need development.

I think an increase in conservation should also be an important component.

And I really think 'kicking the energy addiction' should be made part of the war on terror. A way to rally national support for 'the cause'.
