I expect the military to try and hide in those new bases they are building and let the Iraq police protect them while they drop bombs from the air. Of course the insurgency will move toward the oil fields drawing out the soldiers. Deadly cat and mouse games will ensue. All of the watch-fob wearers in Washington will be torn between the deaths and half the world's oil supply. That's why it will take so long to go.
Yes, there will be future consequences to pay
