Lenny, I sent an e-mail to the author of the news article in MSNBC. I asked him if he was sure that the quote from Custer in his article was correct on the 100 mil part. I told him that I am an investor with Curtis Mathes, and believed they have only spent 1/10th or less on the uniView as stated.

"For instance, Patrick Custer, chief executive of Curtis Mathes, figures his company spent roughly $100 million developing its comprehensive uniView service and building the communications network required to support it."

Also, I asked if in the next paragraph Custer did not mean that WebTV did not arrange for enough TRAINING for the staff with the retailers, to be able to demonstrate the services on store floors.

"Why it failed to sell in larger numbers _ particularly last Christmas, when its initial advertising blitz was on _ is an open question. Custer believes it was partly a marketing miscue; WebTV, he says, didn't arrange for enough retailers to demonstrate the service on store floors."

Here is his response:
All I can tell you is the story accurately reflects what he told me. Clearly, you follow the company closely. Has it been a good investment?

I did e-mail back and gave him the answer to his question.
