Thanks for copying that over, I think it's a good analysis of the marketplace from both perspectives.

IMHO, AMD will do very well in the very low end, Intel will do a lot better in the high end. One important thing to consider is where AMD is coming from, almost zero. Assuming strong near term growth in the PC industry, which stock will benefit the most, I think it's a toss up from a best guess standpoint.

Longer term, I don't see how AMD can keep up with Intel technology/R&D. When Merced becomes mainstream, I don't believe that AMD will have the resources to compete, unless they find a very deep pockets partner.
