thanks tipped but would like to know comparison to Europe - my sense is that the US is more dependent on oil related products to generate electricity than Europe.

Aside from that how is coal priced - BTU equivalent? meaning if crude oil prices rise so do coal based on BTU content transportation etc. ?

Has any one made a price sensitivity study and compared it to Europe's mix of electricity producing plants ?
