COMS filed its 10k (annual report), as well as a Def 14A (notice of annual shareholder meeting), this afternoon. You can read these documents for yourself in YAHOO, under COMS' SEC filings. My take? The usual stuff. Discussion of business. Same disclaimers we've heard before ("company's growth rate has moderated in the last half of fiscal 1997" reflecting "recent slowed growth in the networking industry....Industry transitioning from shared to switched networks." And that based on recent softening of demand for networking equipment in general, COMS anticipates that its growth rate will fall below 30% to 50% in the coming quarters. In my opinion, this information has already been priced into the stock -- as it trades at a discount to its peers. No one expects COMS to grow at 40%. That's why its PE is in the 20s. But that doesn't mean it won't drop further.
