Maybe Zarqawi is beheading NGOs over the release of the two females in captivity because he knows they are ready to spill the beans?

It's true that the insurgency has intensified considerably during the past month. American officials had been predicting this offensive for some time, knowing that Zarqawi would turn up the heat during the latter part of the election cycle to rattle Americans, as well as Iraqis trying to put an electoral system of their own in place.

Let's hope Senators Joe Biden, Chuck Hagel, Dick Lugar, and John McCain don't throw a monkey wrench into the operation.

As long as US firepower remains at their disposal, that intelligence will prove deadly to Zarqawi and his ilk.
