In the case of the Niger documents, there were also disagreements about the authenticity. So much so that the CIA sent Wilson to investigate. He came back with the information that the story was bunk... Perhaps you should check your "facts" - you are having some time line problems. Wilson didn't even know about the forged docs until weeks after he returned and gave his report. They had nothing to do with him being sent to investigate.
