REH, I have already pointed out that I believe in a supreme entity that caused the universe, and everything, including the planet earth, to be created. I have also stated that I believe in a force for good, that is attributed to Jesus.
Those that say the bible is the word of God, read it in the bible. That's not much of a confirmation. It was penned by the hands, and minds, of human beings, all of which, including you, me, and Brian, are flawed in some respect.
You have no way of knowing that you were chosen by God before time began. You are nothing but the product of a sexual act by two human beings. You believe the "elect" bit because you read it in the bible. Again, not much confirmation there. You, as are all humans, walking around in the body very similar in appearance, and DNA, of a great ape. The only difference is that they live by instinct alone. Humans have, somewhere, obtained the knowledge of, right and wrong, in most of them pace their lives on that knowledge. Nothing biblical about that.
I believe in the same, basic, deities that you do, but my beliefs were not formed by a book written by human beings with their own opinions, and agenda. |
