I attended yesterday in Austin, mainly because I saw that SIT was going to be there. They had a good display, and I had a nice chat with Art Athos. They had about a 10' square foot section of their solar roof on the display floor that people walked on, to show the durability, which I thought was a good idea. They also had large pictures of the Frito Lay and Coke installations.

I suggested that they have have some device powered by the solar panels to show that some power is produced even under artificial light conditions. He didn't think that there would be any, but I disagree. Engineers would understand that the artificial light is far less intense than sunlight. I thought that it could show that our panels produce juice even when partially shaded, by people walking on the stuff.

I checked out the bonding process, and it appears to be very robust. He says that there have been zero delaminations, and accelerated testing was done.

He was generally satisfied with our product. They have another 2mW to install coming up, and a small section being installed on a WalMart for evaluation purposes. He wasn't sure if the 2 mW was already in stock as part of the order announced in May, or if this will need to be another order.
